OPPORTUNITY

in-tangible institute is offering a 1-year part-time fellowship for an aspiring Thai curator. During this fellowship, you will assist/contribute to the development and realization of in-tangible institute’s programs, particularly those that connect the Chiang Mai art community to a wider network of artists, curators, thinkers, and institutions through conversations and collaborations. As a writer and cultural critic whose academic research covers anthropology, to indigenous way finding in agriculture and all things food – Blake offers a rich interdisciplinary voice to our work that supports the development of contemporary art in Thailand (and more broadly across Southeast Asia).

This professional development program, organized for curators / arts managers, targets current staff of art entities and freelance operators in Southeast Asia, focuses on ‘Patronage’, examining the current structures of support in the Arts, with particular reflection on the financial, intellectual and ethical impact of its assumptions on the growth of the arts ecology in Southeast Asia.

Edition 4 is initiated and managed by in-tangible institute, co-developed and co-sponsored with and by ILHAM Gallery, the Sidharta Aboejono Martoredjo (SAM) Fund for Arts and Ecology, and Foundation for Arts Initiatives, New York.
